LEE WEEKS LEE WEEKS Lee's career encompasses executive positions with world-class five-star, five-diamond hotels and resorts including The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, FL, the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Maui, the Atlantis Resort & Casino on Paradise Island in The Bahamas, and LaPlaya Beach Resort in Naples, FL. His responsibilities have spanned the spectrum of hotel, club and resort operations, including food and beverage, golf operations, administration, human resources, finance and accounting systems. CHRISTOPHER SCHAEFFER Results driven and creative, Chris directs all areas of Coral Hospitality’s operations with a forward looking vision. He is known for his expert ability to combine his vast amount of finance and operational experience in developing and executing innovative operational plans that maximize results for Coral clients. In this leadership role, Chris ensures that Coral and its portfolio of properties maintain an intense commitment to employee development, service delivery, asset value and financial performance.
Executive Leadership
MARK OSTERHAUS Prior to joining Coral Hospitality, Mark spent nearly 15 years with Caesar’s Entertainment, where he led the central reservations team, as well as multiple other portfolio properties, in hotel operations, assistant general manager and general manager roles. Previously, he held executive level positions across the United States and internationally, including positions with Sun International Hotels, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. Mark has worked at renowned properties including Atlantis Paradise Island, the Rio All Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, the Ritz-Carlton Naples and Hyatt Regency Atlanta, among many others. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Hospitality at Michigan State University and a dual-MBA from the University of California-Berkeley and Columbia University in New York City. Bill's extensive knowledge of building maintenance, engineering and association management facilitated the creation of a new position for Coral Hospitality. As vice president of engineering and property services, Bill has created a homeowner's association management division, where he oversees all associations. In that role, Bill has been able to assist property owners in efficiently maintaining their assets. Asserting a proactive approach, Bill has developed preventive maintenance programs and tracking systems for all property equipment, providing owners with a formalized plan of action for their FF&E requirements. Holding a CAM license and CEOE certification, Bill's notable professional positions include serving as the Florida Regional Chief Engineer for Noble House Hotels, where he was based out of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, FL. During his tenure there, utility expenses were reduced thousands of dollars per year; guest repair requests decreased by 35% through the development of his rooms maintenance program; and monthly financial goals were consistently achieved without adversely effecting operations, guest comfort or safety. Bill experienced similar success at The Sunrise Hilton in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sundial Beach & Tennis Resort on Sanibel Island, FL, Cross Keys Inn in Baltimore, MD, and with Stouffer's Restaurant Company, where Bill served as area and regional engineering and maintenance manager, responsible for nine full-service restaurants in the Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey region.
Carlos Cabrera comes to Coral Hospitality after an extension career in top management positions at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. During Carlos’ tenure with Hyatt, he has been instrumental in the openings of the Hyatt Regency Chicago, the Hyatt Regency San Antonio, the takeover and renovation of Hyatt Regency Cerromar and Hyatt Dorado Beach and the opening General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino and Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa. He oversaw the openings of Hyatt Regency Trinidad, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Resort & Spa and the takeover of the Park Hyatt Aviara. Carlos was nominated five times for Hyatt’s General Manager of the Year and won. He was appointed by Governor Bush to serve on the Commission on Tourism, where he chaired the Multicultural Committee. He also was an active member of several area Chambers of Commerce. Carlos was awarded Businessman of the Year by the Estero Chamber of Commerce. As Senior Vice President-Field Operations of the Southern Region for the Americas, he was responsible for owner relations, financial performance, standardization of product and services and the development of new properties such as Hyatt Regency Orlando. As Senior Vice President for Global All-Inclusive Operations, he oversaw the expansion of the Ziva and Zilara All Inclusive Brand and played an increasingly active part in the development and growth strategies supporting Hyatt worldwide. As Area VP and General Manager in Aruba, he completed a 25-million-dollar room’s renovation and the development of a new master plan for the property to include a new 7-million-dollar adult pool and event area; as well as reconceiving all Food & Beverage offerings. Carlos and his wife, Lynn, have three daughters and one grandchild. He enjoys bicycling, working out, motorcycling, reading and mainly spending time with his family.
HEATH CARTER Heath is a highly qualified sales and marketing leader with experience impacting hotel portfolio performance through the development and implementation of innovative sales and marketing strategies. Heath’s career encompasses 23 years in the tourism and hospitality industry with a successful track record in direct sales, management, revenue growth and marketing. In his current role, Heath controls budgets, drives revenue and develops market and economic trends to improve property market positioning for Coral Hospitality’s Georgia State Parks, lodges and resorts. Heath has worked for Adams Mark Hotels, International Conference Resorts, Wake Forest University, Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Benchmark Hospitality and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. Additionally, Heath produced hospitality marketing campaigns with some of the leaders in television, radio, and digital such as ESPN, CBS Sports, Clear Channel Communications, Yahoo, and Google. Heath is a graduate of North Carolina State University and holds a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. GAIL HASAN Originally from Trinidad, Gail Hasan brings over 20 years of Human Resource Management experience in the hospitality industry to Coral Hospitality. She has worked primarily for luxury brands such as Starwood, Montage International, Salamander Hotels & Resorts as well as independent luxury hotels and brings with her extensive knowledge of payroll and benefit administration, recruitment, retention and employee training and development. Her property-specific understanding of Human Resource Management is invaluable and her experience with pre-opening teams and committees makes her a true asset to the Coral Hospitality team. Gail previously worked for Coral Hospitality as the Human Resources Director at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, FL until 2015. Most recently, she had been managing the premier no-kill Animal Refuge in Northwest Florida, allowing her an unprecedented look into the non-profit business world. Since her return in 2020, she oversees the Human Resources function for Coral Hospitality’s complete portfolio and works to help further shape the company’s culture of employee development and service excellence. MICHAEL BURTON With more than 30 years of experience in the Club industry, Mike has worked in both service and recreational Clubs. A strong minded professional, skilled in Club Management, Marketing, Membership Sales, and Golf Operations, Mike spent over 28 years at Riverwood Golf Club before accepting a corporate position with Coral Hospitality. During his time at Riverwood, Mike held positions as Assistant Golf Professional, Head Golf Professional and General Manager while working for two developers and three management companies. His time with multiple owners and management has groomed and shaped Mike for his current position. Before moving to Florida in the early 90’s, Mike attended Fresno State University in California where he majored in Business Administration with a Computer Minor. After graduating, Mike played four years of professional baseball in the Texas Rangers organization and spent another seven years as a player, coach, and manager for multiple independent minor league teams. Away from work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Sonya and their three lovely children Mallory, Madison, and Seth. BRANDON DEVOE With more than 25 year of Food & Beverage experience, Brandon DeVoe has extensive understanding of developing and implementing strategic repositioning, restructuring, full operational management for Food & Beverage programs and ensuring operational standards are met and exceeded in regards to company SOP’s, budgetary guidelines, guest satisfaction, brand standards, and loss prevention. Brandon came to Coral Hospitality from a corporate position at GF Hotels & Resorts in Charlotte, NC. Brandon began his career in Food & Beverage in the hotel industry and worked with such brands HIG, Hilton, Sheraton and Marriot hotels. He worked his way from a Chef de Partie to an Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage before embarking into the corporate side of Food & Beverage Management. His wide-ranging knowledge allows him to be a collaborative communicator focused on building relationships and promoting synergy within property Food & Beverage personnel. Brandon enjoys spending time with his family at their Naples, FL residence and watching his 3 daughters play soccer whenever he has the opportunity. CHRISTOPHER NIEMIER Christopher Niemier is responsible for the company’s revenue management and pricing strategy, covering all distribution channels. Additionally, he leads all technology initiatives on both Coral Hospitality’s revenue management and property management systems. Previously, Niemier spent five years as director of revenue management for Vision Hospitality Group. In his role there, he oversaw revenue management and eCommerce-related activities for a portfolio of 30+ select-service, full-service and extended stay hotels. Having worked with a wide range of brands including Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt, Niemier brings experience and a proven track record of success to Coral Hospitality. AUGUSTIN LUCIO With more than 25 years of agronomic expertise, Augustin Lucio possesses a special talent for delivering a quality golf course experience. His agronomic skill has been honed on the East Coast, representing substantial insight into blending the science of agronomy with the various growing seasons and environmental considerations. Specializing in both the pre- and post-construction grow-in of new courses, Augustin's knowledge ranges from Winter Rye Wall-to-Wall to the latest Ultra Dwarf greens plus GN1 and Paspalum turf grasses. A hands-on leader, Augustin has successfully restored numerous courses to their former glory with a fraction of the budgeted expense and labor. He has also served as the primary consultant on the preliminary construction phase of various exclusive clubs throughout the Eastern Seaboard. Prior to joining Coral Hospitality, Augustin led such distinctive clubs as Naples National, Naples, FL, Shadow Wood Country Club, Bonita Springs, FL, The Club at The Strand, Naples, FL, Audubon Country Club, Naples, FL, Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, Cordele, GA, and most recently, The Preserve Golf Club in Ocala, FL. While at Naples National, the Club hosted the LPGA for two consecutive tours, representing clear verification of the quality of his work. A well-respected and renowned professional, Augustin has been a frequent speaker at various agricultural colleges in the Southeast. In addition, multiple clubs under his direction have obtained certifications from the Audubon Society for conditioning and meeting wild life environments. Augustin is a member of GCSAA, FTGA and EGCSA. FELICIA ROGERS Felicia comes from a background in the television industry where she worked for 7 years with a small cable provider who used the burgeoning world of digital marketing to compete in an industry known for large corporate cable providers. She then transitioned into an agency role where she worked with small distributors and large manufacturers of medical technology solutions and home security and automation products to create and launch digital marketing initiatives in order expand the clients’ customer base and promote awareness of innovative new products and services. Her last position before joining the team at Coral Hospitality was for an industry-leading PPC provider in Automotive where she worked closely with Automotive Dealerships of various brands across North America. STEPHEN OAKES Stephen Oakes, originally from Edinburgh, Scotland where he was very active in sports and marathon running, attended Napier University in Scotland before moving to the United States and transferring his Accounting and Computer Science studies to the University of Maryland. Anny, who is originally from Germany, started her Accounting career working for a Condo Resort in Orlando, Florida in 2006. She joined the Coral Hospitality team in 2010 as a staff accountant. She has overseen the accounting functions for a number of hotels, golf clubs and condominium/homeowner’s associations managed by Coral Hospitality. This has allowed Anny to gain an in-depth knowledge of the individual needs and requirements of the various operations. MICHAEL RUIZ Michael Ruiz is a Regional Controller for Coral Hospitality. With over 20 years of experience in the Hospitality
business, he brings detailed financial reporting and internal control systems
to ensure maximizing profit margins and operational accountability. Michael is responsible for handling the
financial operations for a number of Coral Hospitality clients and business
partners assuring timely, precise and accurate monthly financial statements. He
is also responsible for providing support to the property managers in day-to-day
operational accounting issues and recognizing areas for improvement.He aids in transitioning new finance
associates, preparing and reviewing property projections and budgets. |
